In and around Capel and Newdigate village the horses are a familiar sight. as we regularly use the public roads to exercise them.
The picturesque churches of St. John the Baptist (Capel – CofE) and St Peter’s (Newdigate) are both perfect settings for photographs, and so is St Margarets in Ockley.
The pretty lanes are stunning especially in mid spring with the blue bells flowering. Weare street, the longest street in England apparently, running for 3 miles, flanked by steep sided streams, shows you Surrey at its very best. You could almost imagine yourself alone in a woodland wilderness back in the early 1800’s.
